Placelist. ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Placelist. mobile application ("the App").

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. We use Supabase to store and manage authentication.

User-generated content. We store the trips and places you save within the App, including place names, addresses, categories, ratings, and coordinates. This data is linked to your account.

Location data. With your permission, the App accesses your device's location while in use to show nearby places. We do not store your precise location on our servers.

Purchase information. If you subscribe to Placelist. Pro, Apple processes your payment. We use RevenueCat to manage and verify subscription entitlements. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Usage data. We may collect anonymised usage data to improve the App. This does not identify you personally.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the App and your account
• To sync your trips and places across devices
• To process and verify your subscription status
• To respond to support requests
• To improve the App through anonymised analytics

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting (supabase.com/privacy)
• Google Maps & Places API — place search and map display (policies.google.com/privacy)
• RevenueCat — subscription management (revenuecat.com/privacy)
• Apple App Store — app distribution and in-app purchases (apple.com/legal/privacy)

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, hosted on infrastructure protected by industry-standard security measures. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure enclave using Apple's Keychain.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@vaultsocials.com, after which your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time
