Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Placelist mobile application ("the App"), operated by Vault Socials Co ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. About the App
Placelist is a mobile application that lets you save, organise, and share lists of places — restaurants, cafes, travel spots, and more. The App is available on the Apple App Store and requires an account to use.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. The App is not intended for children under 13.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately via our support form if you suspect any unauthorised access.
You may delete your account at any time from within the App. Deletion is permanent and removes all your data from our systems within 30 days.
4. Free and Pro Plans
Placelist offers two tiers:
- Free — create one list and save places to it, at no cost.
- Pro — unlimited lists, available via a monthly subscription.
Features of each plan may change over time. We will give reasonable notice of any material changes.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Placelist Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Two billing options are available:
- Monthly — approximately AUD $1.99/month
- Annual — approximately AUD $9.99/year
Prices may vary by region as determined by Apple's pricing tiers.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- We do not process payments directly and do not store your payment information. All billing is handled by Apple.
- Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the App's source code
- Use the App to transmit spam, malware, or other harmful content
- Impersonate another person or entity
7. Your Content
You own the content you create in the App — your lists, place names, notes, and ratings. By using the App, you grant us a limited licence to store and display that content solely to provide the service to you.
We do not sell your content to third parties.
8. Intellectual Property
All rights in the App — including its design, code, branding, and name — belong to Vault Socials Co. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use the App for its intended purpose.
9. Third-Party Services
The App integrates third-party services including Apple App Store, Google Maps & Places API, Supabase, and RevenueCat. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party service.
10. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Place information displayed in the App may be sourced from third parties and may not always be accurate or up to date.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vault Socials Co will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the App, including loss of data or loss of revenue. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Australian law.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland for any disputes arising under these Terms.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
